Intelligent Radio and Integrated Systems Laboratory HKUST

Yufeng Zhang is an MPhil student in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where he is a member of the Intelligent Radio and Integrated Systems (IRIS) Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Ben Ayed.

He received the BEng degree from the Qian Xuesen Honors Experimental Class, School of Space Science and Technology, Xidian University, in 2026.

His research focuses on signal processing for next-generation wireless systems, with particular interests in digital predistortion, nonlinear system modeling, and signal processing and optimization for antenna-array systems.

During his undergraduate studies, he received three national-level and eight provincial-level awards. He led a national-level College Student Innovation Training Program project entitled “Design of Hui-Shi Insight Instrument” and contributed as a core team member to two provincial-level student innovation projects. He also received multiple awards in undergraduate electronic design competitions, was a three-time recipient of the National Encouragement Scholarship, and was recognized as a University-Level Outstanding Student.
